Gather for a day of community craftivism and create your very own zine and button! Zines are a budget-friendly, quick DIY way to self-publish art or ideas, and buttons are a fun way to share your message with others.
We’ll craft a pocket zine from a single 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper using magazine collage, stamps, handwriting and doodles, stickers, and any materials you bring. We’ll also make photocopies so you can reproduce your work. Feel free to come with ideas in mind—we can also workshop ideas together as a group if you’d like support.
Using a button press, we’ll create a snapshot of your zine that acts as a mini advertisement for its content. Just in time for May Day, your zine and button can be perfect additions to your May Day baskets!
