Community Care with Plant Medicine

  • Eastside Food Co-op 2551 Northeast Central Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55418 United States (map)

Join this gathering to learn about the ways herbs and essential oils can support us through these turbulent times in the Twin Cities. We will focus on plants that soothe and support our nervous system so we can care for ourselves and continue to engage in meaningful change within our communities. You will craft for yourself a unique herbal tincture (alcohol or vinegar extract options), herbal tea blend, and room spray.

In the spirit of community care, the supplies and instructor's time for this class have been donated. Ticket proceeds will go to rent relief funds in the Twin Cities area. Sliding scale $5, $15, $25, $35, $45.

Amy Daher is a lifelong lover of nature and learning. Several years of foraging combined with an interest in holistic living led her to begin formal studies in herbalism. Along with numerous workshops through the years, she completed an Advanced Herbalism program in 2023. With three young children, most of her practice revolves around gentle home remedies, but her passion lies in herbalism as a form of resistance.

Liza Docken is a certified aromatherapist and a fellow Nordeast community member. She has 25+ years working in the natural wellness industry, with additional trainings in flower essences, herbalism, and more. Lizamet Amy in yoga teacher training in 2017 and deeply rooted friendship has been growing ever since.
