Basic Meatballs by Kristina

1 pound ground beef
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp fresh oregano finely chopped (dried will work too)
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
1 large egg
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup breadcrumbs or panko
1 - 2 Tbs lukewarm water

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. Combine all ingredients except for water. Once nearly combined, add between 1 to 2 Tbs water. You want to add enough that the mixture still holds its shape. Be careful not to over mix.

  3. Using a scale, weigh the mixture. Depending on how many meatballs you’d like, evenly divide the mixture - I usually do medium to larger sized meatballs - you’ll probably get around

  4. 16 - 20, but you can certainly go smaller. If you don’t have a scale, you can eyeball it.

  5. Bake in the oven for around 12-16 minutes turning the meatballs halfway thru.

  6. Serve with your favorite sauce!
