From Co-op to Co-op: Journey to Rio y Valle

This past summer, Eastside Food Co-op was proud to send our General Manager, Anne Gazzola, to Rio y Valle in Piura, Peru, home to a vibrant farming cooperative that supplies the organic and Fair Trade bananas many of us enjoy each week.

The visit was part of a delegation organized by Equal Exchange, a longtime partner to Eastside. The trip brought together cooperative leaders from across the country to witness firsthand the power of ethical trade and international cooperation.
