Taylor Koehler
Taylor Koehler came to the Twin Cities 7 years ago to attend law school at the University of Minnesota Law School, leaving behind the great mitten state she grew up in. She is now proud to be a human rights attorney, working on advancing and protecting the core rights of those within the global community but also here within her own community in Minneapolis.
She currently works for a non-profit legal center called the Center for Human Rights and Constitutional Law, where she works to protect the rights of immigrants to seek asylum and refuge in the United States.
Since being in Minnesota, Taylor has worked to deepen her roots in her new home. She currently serves as an election judge with the League of Women Voters Minneapolis, helping ensure not only that Minnesota maintains its top voter turnout record but that its vital election process remains safe and secure.
When she isn’t out fighting the good fight, you can find Taylor working on the native garden she just planted this year (she’s currently remembering how much she hated weeding as a child). She can also be found exploring all of the Twin Cities’ incredible independent bookstores, buying increasingly large stacks of books (there’s no such thing as a too big “to be read” pile of books after all). Finally, you might see her out walking her St. Anthony neighborhood with her husband and goldendoodle pup, Erma.
