New Products in the Wellness Department!

Sibu:

Seabuckthorn, or "Holy Fruit of the Himalayas" is known as nature's most balanced fruit.  It's an anti-inflammatory, high in vitamins A, C, and K, among others, and a tonic for damaged skin.  It's got so much going for it, we're very excited to be carrying Sibu products at Eastside Food Co-op.  Click here to visit the Sibu website and learn more!

We're carrying their facial soap, moisturizer, and facial serum. 

Herb Pharm:   

Dragon's Blood is a viscous red sap from the Croton lechleri tree, used throughout much of South America.  It's a latex rich in phytochemicals commonly used to address gasto-intestinal disorders, ulcers and diarrhea.  It can also be applied topically as a liquid bandage to aid wound healing. 

Albizia, also known in Traditional Chinese Medicine as the "happy herb", silk tree, or Mimosa.  It is used in TCM to calm disturbed "shen" or spirit.  The spirit lifting action of Albizia has practical application in treating a variety of conditions related to mood and spirit, including nervous disorders such as insomnia, stress and anxiety, and emotional maladies including irritability, depression, anger, mood swings, grief, sadness, and heartache.

Peaceful Mountain:

The Peaceful Mountain product line was born with the belief that many common problems can be helped with the powerful herbs and elements supplied by nature. 

We're carrying a variety of their procuts: Arnica Plus, Back and Neck Rescue, Joint Rescue, Muscle Rescue, and Tendon Rescue.  We're also carrying their Stomach Rescue, which has been laboratory tested against the four primary sources of food poisoning: Staph. A., Lysteria, E. Coli, and Salmonella. 

Also from Peaceful Mountain is the Hot Flash Rescue Lotion, containing herbs that have been known to facilitate the balance of estrogen in the body.  The aim is to reduce hot flashes and support normal function for changes of life.

Herbs, etc.

Located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Herbs, etc's main goal is simple: providing clients with theraputic results.  At Herbs, Etc. each herbal medicine product starts with fresh or dried whole herbs. Most of the herbs are grown on family-owned certified organic farms. These herbs are grown throughout the United States in the climate and ecosystems in which they thrive. Not only are the herbs certified organic but the Herbs, Etc. laboratory is also a certified organic manufacturing facility.

Here at Eastside Food Co-op, we're carrying an array of products from Herbs, etc.  Most exciting is the Singer's Saving Grace, which is ideal for sore throats. Singer's Saving Grace promotes voice clarity and vocal comfort, moistens and lubricates throat tissues, Soothes feeling of throat dryness. It's a blessing for anyone with a sore throat from singing, screaming, cheering, shouting or talking loudly for a long period of time.

We're also excited about the Chlor-Oxygen.  It builds red blood cells,  increases hemoglobin’s capacity to capture oxygen in the lungs and distribute it throughout the body. Chlor-Oxygen is helpful in high altitude situations, and supports pregnancy by maintaining healthy hematocrit levels. It also acts as an intestinal deodorizer and offers liver protection.
