Vinyasa is the practice of Asana or postures in a flow-based or dynamic structure. Some of the sequencing is traditional and some is improvised. As one’s practice develops so does understanding of physical capacity and the more subtle teachings of Yoga. Please click here for more information about Lisa and her classes.
NEW! Noon-1 p.m. Starting Sunday, September 12: Pilates, taught by Jamey Garner. Jamey's Pilates mat class is rooted in the Stott Pilates approach to the original teaching of Joseph Pilates. The central concept of Stott Pilates revolves around strengthening the core of the body -- the deep abdominals, lower back and the muscles around the spine. This workout is mat-based and designed to develop longer, leaner muscles, create core strength and stability and increase mind-body awareness while moving in conjunction to the breath. The class will be a dynamic, full-body workout in a supportive, friendly atmosphere, and is a low-impact workout suitable for people of all ages and health backgrounds.
4:30-6:00 p.m. Anusara (Inspired) Vinyasa, taught by Laurel Van Matre. Laurel is a certified Anusara (Inspired) Yoga instructor. She teaches a Mixed Level Vinyasa class emphasizing flowing through each posture from the heart while connecting mind, body and breath.
