Bottineau Neighborhood's 3rd Green Gala

  • Community News
Date:
Sat, 03/20/2010 - 7:00pm - 11:30pm

Bottineau Neighborhood Association announces 3rd Green Gala: An evening of recycled, reused and socially responsible fashion.

The Bottineau Neighborhood Association will be holding its third annual fundraiser, The Green Gala.

California Building Gallery
2205 California Street NE
Minneapolis, MN 55418

The Green Gala is a family oriented event built around a full blown fashion show featuring neighborhood people as the models and highlighting clothing and accessories from area thrift stores and reuse shops. Other socially responsible organizations like Global Mamas, a fair trade organization that works with women of Africa to become economically self sufficient, and Naturally Bamboo, who produce and sell clothing made from renewable bamboo fiber are also involved.

Event attendees can expect a not too serious evening with appetizers and drink for all ages, live jazz from the Greg Schaefer Trio and new this year, a silent auction. Additionally, fashion suppliers will have many of their own products available for purchase at the event.

Tickets are $20 and are available online. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
